Event Description: March 14, 2017 Join Newcomer Friends of Greater Plano to hear Ms. Rena Pederson, a trail blazer for women in journalism and a faculty member at Southern Methodist University, where she teaches persuasive writing. Her first book “What’s Next?” was featured on the Oprah Winfrey television show; her most recent book is “THE BURMA SPRING: Aung San Suu Kyi and the New Struggle for the Soul of a Nation.” All women in Plano and the surrounding communities (you do not have to be a new resident) are welcome to meeting. www.newcomerfriends.org

SMU-in-Plano is located in Legacy Park on Tennyson Parkway between Preston Road and the Dallas North Tollway.
