Mr. Anthony Bolodar, good question. As a licensed contractor we do not offer motors at cost. There are several places on the internet that you may be able to purchase motors at varying costs and quality. Please be aware of these type of purchases… more

Worst experience with a heating and air company of my life which is saying something as I'm in my 50's and I've been a Realtor for 20plus yrs and have owned many homes and rentals and been a tenant in others. Absolutely rude and not interested in "making it right!" I'm shocked by the way I was spoken to by the technician and then by manager name I believe was Amy. The tech was Tiffany. If you want customer service and want help getting your system right and want to avoid damage to the property look elsewhere! The comment from the manager below is in only true in part. There was damage to the property and as a tenant I definitely am required on my lease to change the filters. Telling me one no longer exits or that another takes it place is vital to my lease agreement. Furthermore, only the tenant knows the issues with a property not the landlord who does not face those issues. Telling a tenant you don't speak to them is incredulous, ridiculous and disrespectful. It's not how a smart business person operates knowing that tenants are customers too and one day could be a homeowner and/or landlord as well. It's bad business practice.

Neal, I'm very sorry we couldn't come to an understanding. Thank you for leaving this review and giving us a chance to explain. In this situation we had our technician, Tiffany, there to do a follow up from our recent installation. The technician was discussing where the filter was located, when you asked why that wasn't told to you at the time of installation, Tiffany explained that we discussed it with the landlord and/or homeowner. In situations where the home is a rental, we do not typically discuss details regarding accounts or changes to the system with the tenant as they are not the home owner and are not financially responsible for the system. I definitely understand the frustration this can cause as a tenant but we do it to protect us and the homeowner. You can look at all of our other reviews and see that we are a company that stands behind our workmanship and our customer service. I called Samm's to address a frozen over AC at my house. The person on the phone was friendly, efficient, and helpful. They came out quickly and were on time for the appointment.
The techs were courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. They checked all aspects of the system and showed me video evidence of the problem they found.
They were not able to fix the issue on the spot as a major component replacement is needed but they were able to recharge the system as a temporary solution to get me cooling again.
The pricing was upfront and fair, I appreciate that the service call fee is waived with repair.
The whole experience made me feel comfortable and appreciated. The style of service emphasized integrity and honesty which is huge when dealing with contractors like this. First time with Samm's and they totally saved the day!!! When you live in Texas you KNOW how brutal the summer days can be! Called in to Samm's on the day our air went out and they were at my house within 4 hours! Two other companies I had called previously couldn't get to me till the next day or the day after that! Jordan and Karl were able to diagnose what the problem was very quickly, they told me what was going on and that luckily they had the part in the work truck and could fix it! They had our AC up and running again within 30 minutes.
Great experience with these guys! I have already recommended them to two other families for their friendly, fast and super helpful service!

From setting up appointment, to scheduling, to the knowledge of our technician and everything he did while he was here; we were blown away. Every service technician company needs to receive training from the folks at Samms Heating and Air. Thank you for making our service call today as enjoyable as it could possibly be. We won't call anyone else for our HVAC needs ever.

I can't say enough good things about the service and installation. From my initial meeting with Emilio their sales manager to their installation team leader Mario. I always felt like they had my best interest at heart.

A few weeks back, we had some AC issues, and found Samm's Heating and AC and thought we would give them a call. The technician came out and seemed to get the unit working. Within a couple weeks, the unit was messing up again. We again called Samm's late at night because the extreme heat was unbearable. The technician came out, and said they couldn't fix it, and it needed a new compressor, but still charged us for the visit.
Hence to say, we called another AC company the next morning, and they came out, and said there was nothing wrong at all with the compressor, it was just faulty wiring, done by the Samm's technician a couple weeks earlier. The Samm's technician didn't put a new wire on the unit, just patched up the old one. The other AC company replaced the wire, and didn't charge anything unlike Samm's the previous night when they didn't even fix anything.
I decided since the overall unit was old, maybe I should get a new one. I decided I would give Samm's a shot again, and said I'd like a quote on a new unit. They sent a sales guy over to give me a quote. I already had a quote from the other AC company that had come out when the Samm's salesman arrived. He said we are giving you the deal of a lifetime, for $11,695 for a new unit. Unfortunately, the Samm's salesman didn't know I had the other quote from earlier that day from the other AC company for $5950. I'm not sure why Samm's would hike the price up that much. I mean, I understand the salesman wants a big commission, and the company wants profit, but I would just hope the business owner of Samm's would understand that is the wrong way to run a business.
Summer in this Dallas heat is unbearable, and to prey on customers who are desperate for their AC to work is a wrong way to run a business, and for technicians to not know what they're doing is probably not good for future customers.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

First I want to thank Yelp for giving me the opportunity to reply to this email. Thadius we appreciate the opportunity to propose your system. There are many inconsistencies in the "ethical" proposal and only showing page 2 of our proposal. Our system was an AHRI rated Trane complete system #7039031 with a variable speed unit and a SEER (seasonal energy efficiency rating ) of 17 SEER. Neither the readers of the review or myself can tell what the rating is of the mismatched Rheem "outdoor" unit with a Carrier "indoor unit" . I also do not see surge protectors,plenums, air balancing dampers, 3 years of maintenance, financing, lifetime warranty on workmanship, the required city permit, 3 year labor warranty just to name a few omissions in the comparison. If you do anything please protect yourself by insisting on a city permit, verify they are registered in Texas and also have current insurance. We provided all that documentation for you when we visited. Again thank you and Yelp for the opportunity to respond. I will recommend to all consumers, when trying to make the difficult decision to choose a contractor, please make sure they are doing the proper process. Also know when comparing apples to oranges. If I could give this company more than 5 stars....l would! I cannot recommend this company enough!! We had our heating unit stop working right before #snowmageddon of 2021 took place, and turns out we needed an entire new unit (not at all surprised as the unit was as old as our house...26 years). We had a couple of companies come out and SAMMS offered us the most for our money, including a consumer reports top rated unit, and they came highly recommended by neighbors on our NextDoor app, so we chose them. Despite several days of snow, ice, and record low temps, technicians from SAMMS came out on Thursday and installed our new unit plus provided all new equipment in the attic. The technicians were extremely polite and knowledgeable and spent time training us on how to use our fancy new thermostat once the install was complete. They were also very respectful of our house and laid tarps down all through our entryway, up the stairs, and all the way to our attic. This company goes above and beyond and has won our business for life! Thanks SAMMS Heating and Air!!!

My AC went and I had a very quick response time from the time I called and someone coming out. They even came out on a Sunday to get me up and running. I think that's pretty damn good. I called a few places and wanted me to wait for a week to get someone out there but in this heat, I am not going to wait that long to get my AC fixed. Saam's came through when I needed them the most.
Price is on the high side but competitive what they charge for labor in the area. I can find a guy that can do it for cheaper but is it worth suffering for days and and weeks when an unexpected repair needs to be done, probably not.

Firstly, I always get reminder calls a day or two before. Then I get a call when the tech is on their way. The always wear booties in the house and are very respectable and polite. Marcus has been servicing us for many years now and this team seems like family to us.

SAMM's HVAC - The best HVAC company we have ever used!
We just finished replacing all HVAC units (furnace, compressor, some ductwork) in our home. Our units were 17+ years old - their days were numbered.
Over the 27+ years we have lived in the Plano/Frisco area we have used numerous HVAC companies. SAMM'S is by far the best we have used.
We got multiple bids from a number of companies and researched them all thoroughly. Here's why we went with SAMM's and are glad we did:
--Their prices were highly competitive.
--Everyone on their team - installers, tech's, customer service staff are employees.
--They complete a manual load calculation, spec out the ductwork to maximize flow, and replace as needed versus just replacing the compressor and furnace
--They install dampers on their ducts so you can adjust flow to your rooms as needed
--They have 24/7 technical support staffed by their employees that resolve your problems/concerns on the first call
--Each of their installation teams consist of 3 employees who are paired together for every job to drive consistency, excellence, and accountability. We thought our team was excellent and worked well together. They were meticulous in their work and respectful of our home.
--Their technicians are the most highly skilled we have ever seen with the best tools to perform their jobs effectively.
Our experience with every aspect of their operation was unlike any other HVAC company we have worked with. They are professional, knowledgeable, and methodical. They don't rush to get things done, rather they do it once and do it right.
