Nonprofit organizations are the heartbeat of our community, and we’re looking forward to connecting with you and making connections for you. We would love to have you join us at a special Frisco Chamber Foundation event designed for 501(c)(3) organizations and special guests. This particular event is designed to connect Frisco's nonprofit organizations with each other and to also connect them to HR professionals looking for organizations for their employees to serve.
This event will be held at Scottish Rite for Children on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
In addition to making great connections with other nonprofits, we’ll be joined by Greg Weatherford II, Youth Empowerment Program Officer for The Allstate Foundation. Over the last decade, The Allstate Foundation has invested over $125 million in youth empowerment. Also joining us will be Alex Quian, founder of United by Serving, which is dedicated to bringing youth together through the transformative power of service. You'll be inspired by their powerful presentation.
Allstate Foundation's philanthropy is focused on empowering youth (ages 5 - 25) to serve and improve their communities. To do that, The Allstate Foundation believes in sharing information with adults who are most proximate to young people and responsible for their development and recently released a report on youth service in partnership with the Center for Expanding Leadership & Opportunity (CELO). This report introduces a new definition, model, and design considerations for incorporating more youth-led, youth-driven service in our communities.
As a member of the nonprofit community, you can help empower these youths to serve!
This event is free, but we do ask that you register.
